Followed by The Catalyst Movement Screen and any other necessary orthopedic or neurological testing.
Next up, we go through sport or activity specific strength & endurance testing to establish a baseline.
Then we make a moment to dive into the education on what may be contributing to your symptoms and the true root cause. This is followed by a detailed description of your personalized treatment plan.
A combination of corrective exercise and manual therapy to reduce pain and restore mobility.
This will progress into proper strength training for long-term pain reduction and injury mitigation.
The clinician sends a follow-up email outlining the education moment and any at-home exercise prescription.
Additionally, the clinician checks in with the patient over the phone or via email between appointments, providing real-time advice and making changes to the corrective exercises if needed.
The ball is in your court to follow through with your “homework” and treatment plan – you’ve got this, and it will be worth it!

This is where you have the opportunity to tell your story, uninterrupted. Then we’ll ask questions to clarify details about your story and intake form as needed. Any necessary orthopedic, neurological or movement testing will be done to ensure safety of treatment. We prioritize listening to what you want and make time for manual therapy when you come in for a massage treatment.
Your massage treatment is highly personalized depending on your needs and preferences. We will only work on the areas specifically discussed beforehand and we will check in during treatment to ensure pressure is comfortable for you.
Treatment may include:
- Non-lotion techniques: such as compression, pin and stretch, contract relax, and gentle tractioning
- With-lotion techniques: such as Swedish massage, muscle stripping, and deep tissue
- Intra-oral and buccal massage for TMJD or tension headaches
- IASTM tools
- Heat via heating pad or table warmer
After the massage treatment, we will discuss any relevant homecare items to help you reach your goals. This could include exercises, stretches, mobility drills, adjustments to daily activities, and self-massage techniques.
When applicable, we will send a follow up email outlining the education and at-home exercise prescription. If you have any questions, please always feel free to reach out either by email or by phone. We’ll check in to see how you are doing between appointments and can offer any needed real-time advice.
